Root Capital

Root Capital is a nonprofit social investment fund that grows rural prosperity in poor, environmentally vulnerable places in Africa and Latin America by lending capital, delivering financial training, and strengthening market connections for small and growing agricultural businesses. We have supported Root Capital since 2009.

High Line

The High Line is a public park built on an historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan's West Side. It is owned by the City of New York, and maintained and operated by Friends of the High Line. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2007.

One Acre Fund

One Acre Fund is an agriculture organization that helps East African farmers to grow their own way out of hunger. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2008.

Human Rights Watch

Human Rights Watch is one of the world's leading independent organizations dedicated to defending and protecting human rights. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2008.

Signature Theatre Company

Signature Theatre Company, founded in 1991 by James Houghton, exists to honor and celebrate the playwright. The Pershing Square Signature Center was opened January 2012, also launching the "Generation of Access" ticketing initiative.

The Innocence Project

The Innocence Project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted individuals through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent further injustice. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2009.

Foundation for Newark's Future

The mission of The Foundation for Newark's Future is to ensure that all of Newark's children receive a high quality education and that all students, even the hardest to reach youth, are given a real path to college and career. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2010.

Health Leads

Health Leads mobilizes undergraduate volunteers, in partnership with providers in urban clinics, to connect low-income patients with basic resources - such as food, housing, and heating assistance - needed to be healthy. Supported by The Pershing Square Foundation since 2011.

The Pershing Square Foundation invests in organizations that use innovative and scalable ways to attack the compounding roots of poverty: poor health, injustice, substandard education economic limitations and isolated communities.
